Makalu Trek
Makalu is the 5th Highest mountain in the world and this is near by the top of the world (Everest). Makalu region is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Due to its isolation and lack of tea houses this area still receives few trekkers. Sherpa, Rai and Limbus are the main habitants of the region.. Walking north of the Arun river to Sedua and Nun, then crossing Barun La(4110m.) into the upper Barun Khola valley for a close look at Makalu(8463m).The second part of the trek is very difficult and almost impossible without previous experience.
Itinerary Details
01 Day : Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to Hotel
02 Day : Flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar by plane and walk up to Khandbar
03 Day : Trel from, Khandbari to Chichira, overnight at camp
04 Day : Trek to Num , overnight at camp
05 Day : Trek to Seduwa, overnight at camp
06 Day : Trek to Tashi Gaon, overnight at camp
07 Day : Trek to Kauma, overnight at camp
08 Day : Kauma rest.
09 Day : Trek to Mumbuk, overnight at camp
10 Day : Trek to Ripock Kharka, overnight at camp
11 Day : Trek to Shersang , overnight at camp
12 Day : Trek to Makalu base camp, overnight at camp
13 Day : Makalu base camp Excursion, overnight at camp
14 Day : Base camp – Back to Ripock Kharka, overnight at camp
15 Day : Trek to Mumbuk, overnight at camp
16 Day : Trek to Kauma, overnight at camp
17 Day : Trek to Tashi Gaon, overnight at camp
18 Day : Trek to Num, overnight at camp
19 Day : Trek to Chichira, overnight at camp
20 Day : Trek to Khandbari, overnight at camp
21 Day : Trek to Tumlingtar, overnight at camp
22 Day : Tumlingtar – By plane to Kathmandu
